It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of Ann (Hanelore) Gill. Ann will always be remembered in the German Shorthaired Pointer world for her strong views of the perfect dog, which she aspired to breed for over 40 years. Importing many dogs from Germany to strengthen the gene pool.. As her husband I will continue with The Birkenwald Kennels and follow  her work to improve the G.S.P’ Bloodlines throughout the world. I hope that this statement will stop the  rumours, that I was going to sell the Affix and foundation dogs, these dogs are part of the family and would never be sold. The only dogs to be sold are puppies that I have bred.

 

I would like to thank all the many people, many of them dear friends for their expressions of condolences, flowers and support at such a sad time. Ann had a great send off with over 60 people  at the ceremony.

 

To brighter news, Ann before her death bought Bruno vom gut Eckhorst, Ann liked the dog so much when we went to Germany to mate a bitch to him that she decided to buy him. He is now  home  in Britain and will stand at stud to approved bitches only. His photo and pedigree are under Stud Dogs. The other news is that  Wasir K.S. Birkenwald has  returned home and will also stand at stud to approved bitches only.

 

We have a new  litter out of Birkenwald Tuschka by  Bruno vom gut Eckhorst which will be ready the 1st week of August. See puppies for sale.
